The most underutilized force within website marketing today is the blogosphere. There are many different ways to rank well using blogs and if you would like your website to be number one within Google I highly recommend you read on and make sure you are making the most of the blogosphere. I have read that there are 100,000 blogs started daily and being an internet marketer I have started many blogs for the purpose of gaining quality backlinks. This is the new world of the web 2.0 now there are many different places that don’t really offer a full blog, but can be useful and are pretty much the same as starting a blog. These places allow you to set up a one page presence on whatever you like as long as you follow the rules. If you are interested in starting one of these go to Google and type in Hub Pages, Squidoo, or Google Knol any of these will work great for getting yourself out there and building your online exposure. Now these help as supports, but they are not nearly as functional as a blog so if you have the time necessary to work with blogs I highly recommend you do not supplement blogs for cover pages.
The first way to really utilize blogs is through starting a couple of blogs on whatever subject you wish and making sure to have them constantly updated with fresh unique content. Each new post should have a link within it to another web presence which you own and are trying to rank well for. Personally I don’t even know the number of presences I have started whether blog or single page the only thing I know is I have spend thousands of hours building and building trying to reach maximum capacity for myself and site. If you don’t have a lot of money to host the blog on a server then host one on a free server such as blogger.com or wordpress.com both very capable of running your blog without problems. As your blog grows you will see the attention of the blogosphere focus in your favor therefore posts become link bait and if you are lucky your blog will become just as if not more authoritative than your website.
Now the second way to really utilize the blogosphere is to comment on blogs whether no follow or do follow either way they will help increase the exposure your blog has within the web. Comment on as many blogs as you can the best would be to try for 500 comments weekly which will of course be difficult, but the affect will be prevalent and you will be able to see the payoff in traffic and sales. When blog commenting never just leave a comment such as “good post” read the entire post and leave a comment relevant to the material. A good comment should be at least 20 words and have an idea within it. Also don’t leave just keywords within the name box if you want to get your comment published then place your name @ your keywords this way the blogger will not think you’re a spammer.
